I wrote a song called 23 METAPHORS FOR LOVE for the Singer-Songwriters of Grey Bruces gathering last night. Consensus was that was about 9 metaphors too many. As always, a pleasure to listen to everyone elses tunes... massive variety from mandolin blues to a dead on Stevie Nicks power ballad to a Randy Newman feel lounge-y piano piece to a hammering Modest Mouse kind of anguished piano tune... and lots more besides. And always insightful and helpful critique. And best of all, its a ton of fun. Thanks to David Hawkins for hosting at his store, and everyone else for coming. Pleasure to finally hear Zoltan Stewart and Dan Hilts, too.
