I wrote the following to a good friend, but felt like many of my FB friends also need to hear what I penned. Since I dont think my friend will mind, I share these thoughts with you and I pray you find help and healing through them, beginning with this wonderful promise from Gods Word: Sing, O Daughter of Zion; shout, O Israel! Rejoice, be in high spirits and glory with all your heart, O Daughter of Jerusalem [in that day]. [For then it will be that] the Lord has taken away the judgments against you; He has cast out your enemy. The King of Israel, even the Lord [Himself], is in the midst of you; [and after He has come to you] you shall not experience or fear evil any more. In that day it shall be said to Jerusalem, Fear not, O Zion. Let not your hands sink down or be slow and listless. The Lord your God is in the midst of you, a Mighty One, a Savior [Who saves]! He will rejoice over you with joy; He will rest [in silent satisfaction] and in His love He will be silent and make no mention [of past sins, or even recall them]; He will exult over you with singing. (Zephaniah 3:14-17, Amplified Version) My friends, never forget that your CONFIDENCE rises from your identity. Do you know WHOSE you are? You are a DAUGHTER and SON of Zion. Youre a Kings Kid. Youre Gods favorite child. God adores you. Theres nothing you cant do, be or become. Nevertheless, every PROMISE does come with a responsibility (OUR PART): YOUR PART: Sing to God. Rejoice in his Goodness and Gifts. Stay positive and glory with ALL your heart. Do not let fear inside your heart or head. Dont be doubtful, discouraged or disappointed when you face trial or trouble. When you hear the voices of criticism and cynicism, speak back: I am Gods favorite kid! And I have no reason to doubt, be discouraged or afraid. Accept your FREEDOM. GODS PROMISES: He will remove all the judgments (those voices that trap and torture you now, that shatter your confidence and mar your true identity) and cast out your enemy (fear, doubt, depression, pain, anxiety, regret). God will no longer let you experience fear or evil! Its done for you, my friends. The past is GONE. God is walking with you personally. Hes strong and will save you. Now heres my favorite part: God rejoices over you with joy. Literally: He joys over you with joy! The Hebrew word rejoices has the element of dance in it. God is dancing over YOU. When He thinks of you, you make his toes tap and He does a jig. How cool is that? He also rests with you. The stuff that troubles you, the past that stains you, the trials that stand against you, cause God no alarm. Theyre so small and insignificant to Him that they put Him to sleep. He also loves to SING over you. Hes got a special song for you. If I had to pick that song for you, it would be this one (watch it and know you are a beautiful thing): youtu.be/Is6weMrenls When you think about it, what you have to DO/BE in order to get what God will GIVE is hardly a fair trade or a good deal. But that is the LOVE that most of us never experience through our human relationships. Our journeys with love (romance, friends, family or otherwise) have caused us pain, sorrow, suffering, fear, doubt and evil. But thats not Gods Love. His Love is so Great and so Grand that our stuff (baggage, sin, worry, fears) are like feathers to Him. He carries them so easily, because He loves us so purely. My deepest prayer for YOUR life is that you experience that PURE LOVE. You truly are a BEAUTIFUL THING to God. You matter. You are valuable. You are loved without condition.
