I wrote this in response about a thread on aging and how important water is. I cant express myself at the same level as most of you here but I would encourage you to look at connective tissue/fascia if you want to talk about being connected. It is tight fascia that makes us old and immobile. How many of you stretched like an animal today when you awakened from your deep sleep to help your layers of fascia to find space between them again? When this practice stops, your connective tissue begins to become one layer, instead of the many different ones. We sit at the computer, enjoying each others company, while our fascia is taking note and supporting us in our computer writing form. Our thoughts (and what Melissa wrote) help mold our fascia, creating thoughts that are stressful, fascia responds, tightens up or pathogens enter creating both looseness or tightness, depending on the pathogen, neither is optimal. Release the pH to neutrality and our outlook on life responds and we start living our lives with a different POV. Our bodies know everything we need to know about how to live, take the route of ease, dont force, be relaxed, allow flow of nutrients/thoughts/ideas and allow toxins to leave us. Eliminate the charge around the tight fascia and all of it falls away, just as a charge around an emotion we have been holding onto for decades. Then healing occurs and no one cares about dying. I am an older parent, had my son when I was 46, then experienced the grief, guilt and fear when I found out my son had birth defects, contracted lyme from me and had brain stem trauma as a toddler from playing with someone who loved him. Fear paralyzed me and I was most afraid of dying before he was even twenty. When I was transformed, those fears washed away, literally. I am going to live to be a very old lady and not one that sits at this computer but one that will bring new life to others and my garden. I truly wish that connective tissue became an interest here because of the brilliant minds that could add the spiritual side to this wonderful organ that is ignored. It isnt about the water, although water is important but about movement and listening to our bodies. Lift your arms above your head and experience a body that says, Thank You, and goes into the most natural stretch that you cant even stop. Fascia unwinding. If you want to live forever, you mustnt ignore your connective tissue that is connected to every structural cell in your body and maybe the universe. It is the perfect example of connectiveness and has lots to teach us.
