I wrote this status on my own page earlier and since them Ermintrude has passed away . Please take the time to read it . Help us fight animal cruelty and neglect. If you see an animal being mistreated , dont just walk away .. report / advise/ help. someone reported this bun to the rspca ...they took the bun to safety ... but sadly the damage was already done. But we did try . such a sad day . * * * * * Sat here looking at Ermintrude and I am so upset and so mad that people can get a rabbit and fail to care for it to such an extent that that animals life is forfeit . Ermintrude was kept in a filthy box , not even a proper hutch . She wasnt fed properly and was living in her own excrement and urine . The build up of filth and lack of food or lack of proper food for a rabbit has resulted in an increase of bad bacteria in her gut . This has resulted in bloat . A terrible , painful condition which I fear she isnt going to survive . Ermintrude was removed from her previous home by the Rspca ,who then brought her to us . We thought she had been removed in time to save her even though she was terribly thin ... It seems we were wrong . Every time we lose a bunny like this I lose a little bit of my heart . It never gets easier .....I just get more and more angry and It makes me feel incredibly helpless
