IB cautions more violence, Centre rushes paramilitary forces to rein in Rampal: Following Intelligence Bureaus report that cautions the state government of likelihood of further violence in case the police attempts to get the Ashram vacated and arrest godman Rampal, the Central government on Tuesday rushed five companies (500 personnel) of Rapid Action Force (RAF) of CRPF to Barwala in Hisar. Heeding to the needs of the developing situation, the Central government is sending about 500 paramilitary personnel to Haryana to deal with law and order situation at godman Rampals Ashram, a senior home ministry official said. Apparently, the Centre is unhappy the way the Haryana government led by chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar has dealt with Rampal issue by not taking enough steps and in the process allowing it to go out of control. Ticked by the Centre, chief minister Khattar called a meeting of senior civil and police officials to take stock of the situation and decided to continue with the police action till it reached the logical conclusion of arresting Rampal and producing him in the court. Central intelligence agencies had inputs of a possible law and order situation in Hisar and the same had been passed on to the Haryana government, said sources. It has also advised the state police to tread cautiously as there are apprehension of stiff retaliation by the inmates of Ashram. The number of the inmates, however, has reduced and according to fresh inputs about 3000-4000 hard-core supporters of Rampal are still camping inside the Ashram.
