O Paulu ODonnellu: Paul has been with Ogilvy for over 25 years. He joined the London office of OgilvyOne (then called O&M Direct) in 1985 as a telebusiness and data services consultant, but was soon lured into client services, where he rose to Group Director on the British Telecom account, then the agency’s largest. He changed roles again in 1988, becoming one of the creators of the UK’s first Account Planning department in a direct marketing agency. From 1991, Paul spent eight years in Asia, running O&M Direct in Singapore and then Hong Kong before becoming President of O&M Direct Asia/Pacific in 1995, with responsibility for 14 separate businesses across the region. In the spring of 1998 he returned to London to work on international business development, creating new service offerings and driving international acquisition. During this time he played a leading role in establishing OgilvyOne’s presence across Latin America. In September 2002, he became Chairman of OgilvyOne London and, two years later, assumed responsibility for OgilvyOne’s business across the entire EAME region. In July 2009, he was appointed Chairman of Ogilvy & Mather UK. And in May 2014 Paul was appointed CEO, Ogilvy EAME. He currently also sits on the worldwide boards of both OgilvyOne and Ogilvy & Mather and is a member of the Executive Committee. Paul also has a particular interest in organisational psychodynamics and the management of change within companies. In 2002 he completed the inaugural International Diploma Programme at INSEAD and holds a Masters Degree from the Haute Etude Commercial in Paris. He is also a leading industry contributor as a Trustee of the Institute of Direct Marketing and is Chairman of the IAA UK Chapter Board.
