ICC CHALLENGE IS NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT, SAYS PRESIDENT UHURU KENYATTA Via PSCU President Uhuru Kenyatta has urged Kenyans to be calm and not to worry about the challenges facing him and Deputy President William Ruto at the International Criminal Court. The President said the cases will be over and that they will prevail to continue serving Kenyans. “You don’t need to worry about this other issue you are hearing about because it will be over and we will overcome it,” said the President, who was responding to comments made by other leaders who spoke before him at a Church function in Nyandarua County. Senator Kipchumba Murkomen, who was among the speakers, said the trials President Kenyatta and his deputy have been going through will only make them stronger to serve Kenyans. “The Bible says when you go through hardships you will come out strong and more refined. I am sure after this case you will be more refined,” said the Senator. Archbishop Eliud Wabukala of the Anglican Church of Kenya assured the President of the support and prayers of all faithful. The President at the same time castigated politicians whose actions are out to derail the development and progress of the nation. “We don’t want noise. Those who were defeated should leave us to work,” he said. The President also challenged the current crop of leaders to emulate those before them who showed selfless commitment to building the nation. He scolded politicians who seek positions of leadership to enrich themselves rather than being motivated by improving livelihoods of Kenyans.
