IDA’s 21st Moot Programme Preparation for the Vis Moot is handled within a graded option entitled International Litigation. The Moot case study is used in courses notably on International Arbitration and the CISG. The selection process for the option will be done through an interview, once students have been accepted in the Master 2. All students selected to be in the option become members of the Moot team. Participation will be limited. Students will be graded on their work on the memoranda and participation and team work in the oral part as pleaders or arbitrators in practice sessions. Like the 20th Moot team, financing permitting, some students will attend pre-moots in Edinburgh, Montpellier and other locations in addition to participating in practice sessions with University teams outside France by Video Conference. Students will need to help raise funds for these trips. Usually four students attend the Moot in Vienna, with 2, 3 or all 4 of them pleading. The international litigation programme is run by: -- Peter McQueen, Arbitrator and Mediator, Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, Lecturer/Co-Chair of the International Litigation Programme at IDA, Aix Marseille University, former partner and head of the international trade and transport practice of Blake Dawson, Australia and lawyer admitted in Australia and England and Wales, petermcqueen, and, -- William Peterson, Partner, Ringlé, Roy & Associates and Lecturer/Co-Chair of the International Litigation Programme at IDA, Aix Marseille University, Member of the Bars of Marseille and California, Co-chair of the International Commission of the Bar of Marseille. With additional coaches: -- Rubin Sfadj, Head of Legal Affairs for Marseille-Provence 2013, was admitted to the bars Paris and New York and worked with Cravath, Swaine and Moore (in New York) and Ayache, Salama et Associés (in Paris). -- Yann Guermonprez, In-House Legal Counsel, Eurocopter, formerly with Fenwick Elliott (London) & White & Case (Paris).
