IDES Responds To Devastating Typhoon In response to the devastating typhoon which hit the Philippines last weekend, IDES has designated an initial outlay of $100,000 for immediate relief efforts. Funds were sent yesterday to Bring Good News (Rick Wolford & Gil Lozada), Pacific Rim Ministry (Darryl & Carol Krause), and Team Expansion (Mike Propp). Each received $25,000 to get the recovery efforts underway. Several more Christian Church / Church of Christ missions are assessing the needs they will be able to address, and are preparing requests for relief funds. In recent years we have worked with at least nine different ministries in the Philippines. As communication lines are restored, and additional requests come our way, we anticipate significant opportunities to provide help in the name of Jesus.
