IDQ20035 Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology Queensland FIRE WEATHER WARNING Issued at 10:32am EST on Wednesday the 25th of September 2013 for today. For the Maranoa and Warrego, Central West, Central Highlands and Coalfields districts, and parts of the Darling Downs and Granite Belt, Channel Country and North West districts. A surface trough lies from the west of the state to southeast Queensland and is expected to persist across the interior of the state during today. Hot, dry and windy conditions will persist across western and most southern and central interior districts, producing the following conditions for today: Severe fire danger in the Maranoa and Warrego, Central West, Central Highlands and Coalfields, western parts of the Darling Downs and Granite Belt, northern and eastern parts of the Channel Country, and southern parts of the North West district. Temperatures to 41 degrees, relative humidity down to 5%, and winds to about 40 km/h are expected. The Queensland Fire and Rescue Service, Rural Fire Service Queensland advises that fires will be uncontrollable and fast-moving. The next warning will be issued by 5pm EST.
