IF I WEEP By SpokenFlowPoet Hakim Crampton If I Weep its because my existence has been in war so I fought for my survival Was inspired to preach my journey so here are my words on arrival To teach another the hard lessons that will ease your own fight for survival Been crucified by a court systems lie so I was crossed out and left with a false felon by title That means they own me by a paper branded since the ancestral birth of my arrival In route many we lost to a disease of self suicidal Like today we kill each other the same as being suicidal Trapped on a pipeline from school to prison once Im cuffed in the system waiting for my arrival Until I was destined to return with poetic revelations of verses that bring about the revival Chanting lyrics spoken to our youth with a mission of academic recitals Thats the drum of their spirits so we gotta speak to their spiritual beat with a street lingo bible Call it the gospel of our journey thru the snares of a jungle all for survival So here we are a Million Youth for peace marching for our survival Free from the shakles of violence we declare peace as the words of our bible So should you see me weep then just know it was written in the prophesy of my arrival Destined to reach a million hearts with one voice in one recital @SpokenFlowPoet (via Hakim Nathaniel Crampton)
