IF YOU FORGET WINDOWS LOGON PASSWORD. Place your Windows CD in your cd-rom and start your computer (it’s assumed here that your CD is bootable – as it should be - and that you have your bios set to boot from CD) Keep your eye on the screen messages for booting to your cd Typically, it will be “Press any key to boot from cd” Once you get in, the first screen will indicate that Setup is inspecting your system and loading files. chose repair option for windows Recovery Console. On the screen choose to open the Command Prompt.you see command prompt c: Type copy c:windowssystem32sethc.exe c: and hit Enter key. Type copy c:windowssystem32cmd.exe c:windowssystem32sethc.exe and hit Enter key when prompted to Overwrite, Type : Yes and hit Enter key again, close the command window, and restart your PC. after restarting pc boot from bootable windows cd again and reach command prompt by windows recovery cosole. Type NETUSER USERNAME NEW PASSWORD and hit Enter key. Type copy c:sethc.exe c:windowssystem32sethc.exe and hit Enter key.and restart your PC. NOW YOUR NEW PASSWORD ACTIVE.
