IF YOU HAVE POWER WINDOWS IN YOUR VEHICLES - ALWAYS, ALWAYS, - TopicsExpress

IF YOU HAVE POWER WINDOWS IN YOUR VEHICLES - ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS, KEEP THEM LOCKED, so that only the driver can control the power windows. Accidents can happen in a split second. We were at CVS drive-through with Carter, our 7-year-old great-grandson. While we were waiting in line, he unbuckled his seatbelt and rolled the window down on the driver side behind Ray to see what was going on. We moved up to get our prescriptions. Ray was paying with a debit card and I was watching. All of a sudden, I heard Carter crying, looked around seeing him pulling himself from the window. The arm rest has the control button on it, and it is NOT RECESSED. As he was leaning his head out the window, his hand hit the window power button; the window rolled up, catching his chin and part of his neck in the window. In his fright, he hit the button on the part that rolled the window down, he was able to get his head out and at that point, began to cry. WHAT IF HE HIT THE BUTTON THAT ROLLED IT UP FARTHER? He had some red marks on his jaw bone, but was okay. Whether you ever have children in your vehicle or not, ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS KEEP THE POWER WINDOWS LOCKED, so that only the driver can control the power windows! I, never in a million years, thought to make sure they were locked, but I should have!...to prevent a split second serious accident to Carter!
