IK: Is the breath or wind that comes with the primary idea or choice. It is the first suggestion or proposal that reaches out to something or somebody to interact with. For instance, the wind becomes visible as it interacts with the leaves of the tree. This is the sign of suggestions and choices that are presented and the polarities of life that can be integrated. The wind brings the rain, which makes life on earth possible and causes the growth of crops. Almost all of the world’s spiritual traditions speak of the subtle or vital breath, the breath of life, which is often the instrument of creation itself. Without the symbiosis of trees and wind, ( trees and the air are intimately linked) there would be no life on earth, nothing to breathe. It is the second sign and represents opposition and duality. This sign relates to the inspiration or idea that has surfaced from the potential of Imix, which is the first glyph and the sign of all possibilities. Ik is the divine breath that gives life to all creation and those born on this day will quest for truth and new ideas that bring spontaneity and simplicity like the wind. Your essence is about seeking and speaking new and innovative ideas and suggestions. . New ideas come up and you become inspired to consider new directions or possibilities. The potentially detrimental qualities that need to be controlled is anger and rage although anger or rage are egotistical bluster and on the esoteric level are simply lower or more uninvolved manifestations of a power that in its highest aspect provides us with life itself. In other words your rages and expressions of anger are more like a bluster that covers up the inner potential to aspire to Higher consciousness. Ik is also to do with communication and you are a person to communicate as your main vital function in life and through your communication you bring changes – ideas form part of what transforms you and therefore others that have dealings with you. Like the wind this often happens on a subtle level where the wind itself is not perceived but the results of the wind. It is number 2 and the number of opposition and duality. It is like a coin that is one thing but has two sides to it.
