IKF Promoter Tommy Delaney hosted a successful Junior Light Contact Kickboxing event in Mountmellick, Co. Laois on Sunday. Even though the tournament fell on the same day as Fathers Day, over 70 enthusiastic youngsters and their coachs & parents showed up and a great day was had by all. IKF acting Representative Mr. Craig Sutton was on hand to make sure the event ran smoothly and that all the kids went home happy and Mr. Delaney made certain that every child recieved a medal for their efforts whether they won, lost or drew. The next event on the IKF Ireland calender is on July 27 when the IKF will sanction a show in the capital city of Dublin for the very first time. The show will feature a Professional International K-1 fight, a Full Contact All Ireland Title defence, an Eliminator bout and an amatuer K-1 bout between a current Irish champion and an unbeaten fighter at an agreed weight. Of course there will be a full undercard of K-1 and Kickboxing bouts and all enquiries should be put to IKF Promoter Mr.Damien Crowther of the Siamo camp.
