ILL NEVER BE WHAT THE EVANGELICAL CHURCH WANTS ME TO BE: Its not some new revelation. It just hit home closer to my heart last night in a church service. After over a 1/4 Century of trying, its just not going to happen. I LOVE the people though!!! I realized that although Im a devout follower of Christ and embrace His teachings, that Ill never fit in with the Conservative Evangelical/Charismatic church. The TRUTH is Ive always been an enigma, if you will, when it comes to being a part of the church. Im the guy that liked Barbra Streisand, Judy Garland, Bette Midler, etc.(still love those ladies even today) when he was just an 8 year old kid. The one who liked Musical Theatre, Singing, Acting, Dancing when he was just little. Uuuhhhh…I still do. The one who never married and is still single at 48. Yeah, you do the math. The one who waged a 2 decade war to change who he was and had always been and the Good Lord chose to leave me…Just as I am. Im not the straight Bret Farve type dude. Never have been, never will be. I believe in the legalization of marihuana, the morning after pill, gay marriage, the right to bear arms (like I said, Im an enigma, and also a dichotomy), the death penalty and other things that some left wingers and some right wingers believe in. Im somewhere in the middle but leaning more on the left these days. Ill just never be what they want or expect me to be. I just AM WHAT I AM.
