IMD Report (partial) on 29th August, 2013 The low pressure area over east Uttar Pradesh and adjoining Bihar, northeast Madhya Pradesh and north Chhattisgarh with associated upper air cyclonic circulation extending upto mid­tropospheric levels tilting southwestwards with height persists. The axis of monsoon trough passes through Ferozpur, Meerut, centre of low pressure, Ranchi, Contai and thence southeastwards to eastcentral Bay of Bengal. The upper air cyclonic circulation over central Uttar Pradesh and neighbourhood in lower levels has merged with monsoon trough. The western disturbance as an upper air system over north Pakistan and adjoining Jammu & Kashmir now lies over Jammu & Kashmir and adjoining north Pakistan. Weather Forecast for next 3 days (upto 0830 hours IST of 1st September, 2013) Rain/thundershowers would occur at most places over Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh during next 24 hours and decrease thereafter. Rain/thundershowers would occur at many places along west coast, Bihar, Sub­Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim, northeastern states and Lakshadweep. Rain/thundershowers would occur at many places over Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, Gangetic West Bengal, Vidarbha and north Andhra Pradesh during next 24 hours and decrease thereafter. Rain/thundershowers would occur at a few places over rest parts of the country outside Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathawada and interior Karnataka where it would be isolated. Weather Warning during next 3 days 29 August: Heavy rainfall would occur at isolated places over west Madhya Pradesh, east Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Sub­Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim, Bihar, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam & Meghalaya, east Uttar Pradesh and west Uttar Pradesh. 30 August: Heavy rainfall would occur at isolated places over east Madhya Pradesh, Sub­ Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh and Assam & Meghalaya. 31 August: Heavy rainfall would occur at isolated places over Arunachal Pradesh and Assam & Meghalaya.
