IN CASE YOU MISSED IT, check out the Chattanooga Times Free Press’s article, “Tennessees Lamar Alexander off and running in new U.S. Senate,” on some of the work Senator Alexander has been doing so far this year to help fix the problems in our nation affecting Tennesseans and other Americans and get our country going in the right direction. At his first hearing as chairman of the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee last week, Alexander called for the Senate to pass a bipartisan bill to fix No Child Left Behind by the end of February. Alexander also recently announced he is cosponsoring a bill that would change Obamacare’s definition of full-time work from 30 hours a week to 40 and another that would repeal Obamacare’s individual mandate which forces Americans to purchase health insurance.
