He knew it was going to be a long, drawn-out process. Somebody came along and asked, Why are you wasting your time on that ugly rock? Michelangelo said, I see a beautiful angel trapped in this rock, and Im doing my best to let him out. And thats exactly the way God sees us. You may feel that you are nothing more than a useless lump of rock. But when God looks at you, He sees a valuable son or daughter whom He created in His own image. Hes chipping away, knocking off the rough, unsightly edges, molding you, shaping you, until He gets the angel out of the rock. (from Your Best Life by Joel Osteen) Today, remember and embrace the fact that you are in Gods hands. Not only that, more so, God is WITHIN EACH OF US. This is biblical. It is fact. It is Truth. Whatever is within YOU that is ugly and beneath the Will of God is what each of us are truly charged with chiseling away. It is YOUR responsibility. It is MY responsibility for me. It is NO ON ELSES responsibility, and (please, understand this if nothing else) NO ONE HAS CONTROL OF YOUR YOU. Meaning, stop the poor me, victim mentality. Dont allow another to make you unhappy, to make you sad, to make you angry... That person CANNOT DO THIS... without your permission. Understand this, please. NO ONE CAN MAKE YOU DO ANYTHING. You, and you alone, allow another the power to do these things, and in this understanding, you should come to realize that it is not them that cause these negative things in your world... it is YOU. Your permission. Your acceptance. Your allowance. Period. However, if you understand this, you can CHANGE this victim mentality. And, you can do so by understanding and embracing that the POWER OF GOD lay within you. ALL THE TIME. Not just some time, not just in good times. Not just in happy times. Not just in successful or plentiful or fun times... BUT ALL TIMES. Today, accept responsibility for YOU and your actions, your emotions, your situations, your circumstances, your relationships, ALL that you do and accept... If it is to be, it is up to ME. And, believe and have faith in the fact that GOD LAY WITHIN you. And, in this knowledge comes power. And, in this power, you can overcome all situations and not just have faith in those good times, but in ALL TIMES. Perhaps, especially, the bad... Share this with others around you, please. Those that you feel may need it, but not just that... ALL those around you, even those that you feel have oppressed or wronged you. Embrace them. Take responsibility ONLY FOR YOUR ACTIONS AND REACTIONS... God is with you. You are in Good Hands. BE BLESSED. +
