IN HONOR OF ROSE HEINDEL Rosalie Heindel lead a life that most people could only dream of. Marked by extreme tragedies and unbelievable triumphs, Rose possessed the uncommonly equal qualities of grace and humility. She was proud to be the granddaughter of coal miners from West Virginia, she often spoke fondly of her loving family and modest means. She met and dined with many kings and queens, princes and princesses from England, Japan and Monaco, yet she never bragged about private gallery tours with Princess Diana, or real friendships with the Prince of Japan. Rose also dealt with her many horrific losses in life with honor and great strength. She lost her beloved father in a car accident, her oldest son to cancer at aged 30, and her husband (and best friend) of almost 40 years- all taken from her too soon- but she never became stiffled by self pity, nor did she ever ask others to pity her. Rose was truly loved by all who ever met her, everywhere in the world. She exuded charm and love, evidenced by all who met her. She adored all her family most, her sisters, Paula and Brenda, her nieces and nephews, and her sons, Toby, Troy and Todd. On a personal note, Rose came into my life in 1989, the year I began dating Todd. From our very first meeting, she treated me as a daughter. She referred to me as her daughter-in-love from that point forward, and she meant it. I was so fortunate to have her as my mother in love, then 8 years later, my mother in law and love. She was truly my second mom, a confidant, a role model, a very special lady. She will be deeply missed by all of her family, and her many, many friends. The world lost a unique, wonderful inhabitant today. I love you, Rose Heindel. Hope to see you again on the other side.
