IN THE NEWS: The European Higher Education Fair (EHEF) 2014 last week attracted 1,746 students and teachers from all over the country, the European Delegation to the Philippines said in a news release. Over the years, the number of higher learning institutions that joined the fair increased. This year’s 44 was a substantial increase from 34 in 2013 and 24 in 2014. Twelve European countries (Austria, Czech Republic, Denmark France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, United Kingdom) joined the fair, with Belgium and Denmark joining for the first time this year. Ambassador Guy Ledoux of the European Union cited the excellence, quality, and diversity offered by the higher education institutions that joined the fair.
