IN THE NEWS: Zarate and Colmenares warned that the Joint Order will put the stalled peace talks between the government and the NDF in great peril since the military will be emboldened to hunt down and arrest consultants and personnel who should be protected under the JASIG because they are on the bounty list. “The DND-DILG Joint Order No.14 is an apparent violation of the people’s rights against unwarranted arrests, threatens the lives and security of those in the list and undermines the peace talks,” they said.
