**INCLEMENT WEATHER** Given tomorrows forecast (60% chance of rain, throughout the day), many of you have begun to wonder how this may affect tomorrows games, and understandably so. After speaking with both Park Commissioners earlier this afternoon, we are in unanimous agreement that games will be played, as scheduled, despite any rain. Now, there are two (2) reasons why we may cancel games, and those are: 1. Lightning, be it present or persistently chanced. 2. If the field is flooded, meaning, to be literally submerged under water (this has never happened, nor do we expect it to, but it is at least possible) Absent either of those two things, rain alone will never prevent the playing of any games. Now, should we have to cancel games, please know: 1. The Park Commissioners will notify the head coaches of each of the teams from their Park(s), respectively, and as quickly as possible, so as to provide the teams, players and parents with the earliest possible notice. 2. We will post that information, here, on the Facebook page, as soon as we feel the need to cancel any game. 3. All cancelled games will be made up, and played, during the course of the regular season. Obviously, such would likely entail a day of double-headers, but well let you know the specifics of how to complete the games, once decided. But know that the games will not simply be lost and go unplayed. Truth be told, the other Commissioners and myself are actually hoping for rain, believing that there are few who would more enjoy playing in it, than our kids, the single greatest 4-6 year old flag players that the world has ever known. But also, so as to give them one more reason, amongst millions, as to why the greatness of the game of football is unparalleled in all of sports, and throughout human history. While other sports pack it in at the sign of a little rain, football players strap up, and play on! And it is for those reasons, and in the continued absence of any known risk or increased danger, that we are more than willing - wanting even - to allow them that experience, and to PLAY ON! Even if it means that well all get a little (or a lot) wet, itll be worth it.
