INDOT To Close State Road 28 For Rail Crossing Repairs TIPTON COUNTY, Ind.—The Indiana Department of Transportation has scheduled the closure of State Road 28 near Hobbs in Tipton County next week to allow Norfolk Southern to make repairs at a rail crossing. The official state detour routes motorists via S.R. 213, S.R. 26 and S.R. 19 around the closure—which begins Monday morning at 8 o’clock. Barricades are being placed on S.R. 28 at S.R. 213 and S.R. 19. Local residents will be able to reach their homes from either side of the east-west highway rail site. INDOT anticipates restrictions continuing through early Friday afternoon.
