INEC SEEKS NIGERIAN’S PARTHNERSHIP FOR SUCCESS IN 2015 The Director, Voter’s Register of the Independent National Electoral commission (INEC), Mr. Emmanuel Akem, has appealed to Nigerians to cooperate with the commission to ensure a successful and hitch-free electoral process in 2015, adding that the commission has put in place quality structures that will eliminate bottle-necks and irregularities that may arise in the process of electioneering in 2015. The laid down structures are spread across all geo-political zones. INEC is partnering with both government and non-governmental agencies with the goal of delivering free, fair and credible elections in 2015, through the use of able and dedicated human work force. Mr. Akem also added that the essence of the permanent voter’s card is to help INEC authenticate voters during the election in 2015. “Those who have not gotten theirs should go to their local government INEC office to collect theirs”, he said. He clarified that INEC will not hesitate to punish anyone who disobey the guidelines of the electoral process, especially those who attempt to collect PVC’s on behalf of others.
