INEC Suspends Staff For Assisting APC to Rig the August 9, 2014 Elections in Osun. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has suspended two of its electoral officers in Osun state for electoral malpractices on the Auust 9, 2014 governorship election. The Officers are Mr Fabunmi F. T. in charge of Osogbo Local Government and Mr Esinoye A. O. in-charge of Obokun LGA The officers were found to have engaged in: a] Sale of thumb printed ballot papers to APC b] Manipulating form EC8 series in favour of the APC c] Voiding PDP votes counted and counting them in favour of APC. These two Electoral Officers have been tried and found culpable by the INEC headquarters in Abuja, for assisting APC to rig the Osun state elections. INEC reported similar incidents in some LGAs in Osun.
