INFORMATION ON TEMPORARY ID CARDS From HQ BFG Someone from Hohne has raised a good question in regard to the Temporary ID Certificates which have to be carried with the individuals passports at all times. Clearly it will not always be possible to carry with the passport, ie when an individual needs to apply for a new passport or a SOFA certificate in which case they also have to send their passport off. The only option in such cases would to instruct the individual concerned that they must make a clear and legible photocopy of their passport photo page which should be carried with the temp certificate so as to allow anyone checking to confirm the name on the temp certificate matches the name and photo page. I suggest also that the copy of the photo page is annotated stating the reason why they cannot carry the passport. - Hope that makes sense. As always any problems please call us The Welfare Team
