INGO JOBS in GOLDEN LAND Myanmar: Humanitarian Mission – Myanmar- Mobile ICT Technical Advisor Organization: Télécoms Sans Frontières Country: Myanmar Closing date: 25 Oct 2014 Télécoms Sans Frontières (TSF) and partner Première Urgence - Aide Médicale Internationale (PU-AMI), offers a position of ICT Coordinator, over a period of 6 months, on a mission to strengthen Myanmar’s Health system. Mission objectives : Last February 2014, PU-AMI launched a pilot project in partnership with TSF in order to strengthen Auxiliary midwives’ capacities and their relation to midwives using mobile technologies. The technical solution chosen is Commcare. The pilot project consists in providing a Smartphone to 70 midwives and auxiliary midwives in the townships of Dala and Kawkareik (Karen state). The solution has been deployed in Dala the first year and this 2nd phase will aim at improving and expand the system to Kawkareik, a remote area more difficult to access and with limited access to power. The ICT Technical Advisor will be responsible of pursuing the project with the following objectives: - Maintenance and adaptation of the application Study the feasibility of deploying proxy-servers to tackle the Internet connectivity issues Translation of the application in local dialects Study the interoperability with governement’s Healthcare Information and Management System Train local Health staff and Auxiliary midwives in the use of the system Train and supervise local ICT staff (1 person). Profile we seek: 2 years minimum experience as a Program Developer or Network Administrator Skills: Strong knowledge of UNIX based systems. Good understanding of telecoms networks. Experience in programming, especially for the Android platform. Fluent English spoken and written. Experience in embedded systems is appreciated Good knowledge of Python programming language is appreciated. Capacities: Rigor and respect of deadlines Planning and anticipation Autonomy Reporting Interest in Humanitarian action in different cultures Length of the mission: Six months from November 2014. The candidate will be accommodated in PU-AMI’s guesthouse in Yangon with their team. Monthly Income: MONTHLY GROSS INCOME: from 1 870 up to 2 220 Euros depending on the experience in International Solidarity + 50 Euros per semester seniority with PU-AMI+ indemnities 300 EUR. TSF...
