INME Inventure Updates - 16th October, Morning (press see more to view all updates) ----------------------------------------------------- Grade 4 - Coorg ----------------------- Late evening, the children had a room inspection competition where they had to ensure their rooms were clean and tidy. Being a very important part of the OUTCLASS theme of independence, It taught them the importance of cleanliness around us and nature. The winners of the competition also received awards for cleanest rooms. The excitement is running high among the campers. After some rain last night, They woke up early in the morning today and had a fun power up session to charge up for new adventures. Reversing roles from yesterday, Today, Two groups will head to the bouldering site and the other two will indulge in backpacking. Special focus is being given on exploration and independence for the children to learn. Grade 5 - Yercaud ------------------------- After a fun filled night at the camp the kids woke up to the sounds of nature! With birds chirping and the sun rising, It was a beautiful sight to see the happy faces of the kids. After a fun filled power up and a delightful breakfast the groups have swapped their activities. Group 1 and 3 which went for rock climbing yesterday has gone for low ropes course. Group 2 and 4 which had learnt about low ropes course yesterday now at the rock climbing site. When they return they will be welcomed with delicious and healthy meals prepared by our chefs. The kids are also recording their learning experiences and observations from the camp in their cool books. All is well and everyone is having a jolly time amidst nature. Grade 6 - Uroli ------------------- After a wonderful night under the pristine milkyway, the kids woke up early in the morning. They were introduced to a power up of jumping around and having fun to open those sleepy eyes. They had their first camp breakfast. They have been divided themselves into two groups, double o seven and fearless phantoms. Double o seven has left for jumaring and rappelling, activities thoroughly enjoyed by everyone. Working in teams, the kids will realise the importance of empathy and initiatives. The fearless phantoms have gone for their wilderness craft day out. working in teams, they will learn survival skills and will cook their own lunch today in among the pine trees. They will be recording all their observations and experiences in their cool books Grade 7 - Rishikesh --------------------------- Waking up to the early morning sounds of the Ganga. The morning was cool and the day is expected to be pleasant and perfect from camp activities. The group is excited and pumped up for the days activities. Group A will work towards the next level of ropes course. Focusing on the learning theme of caring for others and empathy they will indulge in activities that will further help them in gaining physical and mental health. Group B after packing their back packs with all the supplies required have left for the night out. Tonight they will spend their night under the stars with the mighty moon looking over them. They will prepare their dinner on their own and will share the days learning from the trek around the camp fire. The smiles on their faces as they left the camp was contagious. Many just cant wait to spend many such nights next to the river and under a sky full of stars. Grade 9- Kedarkantha, ------------------------------ The OUTCLASS theme of this expedition is caring, team work and decision making. The children woke up fresh and eager to start the expedition. After power up and a hearty breakfast at the camp, the group left for Sankari from where they will begin the first leg of their trek. It was a delight to see the children leave camp with rucksacks on their backs and a smile on their faces! They have started their trek to Juda ka talaab where they will set up their camp. A challenging day, but the group is mentally prepared and determined to succeed. Wishing grade 9 students the very best and a happy expedition! Grade 11- Naagtiba -------------------------- After a cool foggy night and the kids woke up to an absolutely clear and pleasant weather. Last evening they packed and prepared for the expedition. After having their breakfast in the morning they have left Kanathal towards thatyur from where they will begin the first leg of their trek. It will be a gradual uphill trek so the kids can acclimatise to the mountains. and be prepared for more challenges ahead. Importance of consciousness is being taught to them through experiential learning. As they move ahead in the trek, they will also interact with the locals and understand their style of living.
