INTERESTING THOUGHTS I HAD WHILE DOING RESEARCH ON WHO CAINS WIFE WAS------i was just reading Genesis chapter 1-4 again and i noticed something Ive never noticed before...in Chapter 1 verse 26-27 it says 26 Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals,[a] and over all the creatures that move along the ground.” 27 So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. and in Genesis 2 it says verse 5-7 Now no shrub had yet appeared on the earth[a] and no plant had yet sprung up, for the Lord God had not sent rain on the earth and there was no one to work the ground, 6 but streams[b] came up from the earth and watered the whole surface of the ground. 7 Then the Lord God formed a man[c] from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being. verse 8 says Now the Lord God had planted a garden in the east, in Eden; and there he put the man he had formed. HERES WHAT I NOTICED------The Bible doesnt say God put MANKIND in the Garden of Eden. God put a man in the Garden of Eden. If MANKIND (lots of people) was created before A MAN(singular) was put in the Garden of Eden, they had to live anywhere else but the Garden of Eden, right??? And the only two towns that are mentioned in the Bible so far are Eden and Nod. Could could one of these towns be the birthplace of Cains wife who suddenly shows up in Chapter 4 of Genesis? lets plot the timeline of events for clarification------- 1. God creates mankind, male and female. 2. There was no-one to take care of the plants so God made a man and put him in the Garden that HE had planted. 3. A woman was created and named Eve because she would become the mother of all the living. 4. Eve gave birth to Cain and Abel. Cain kills Abel and goes to live in Nod 5. Cain has a wife. 6. Adam and Eve has other sons and daughters -----IN MY OPINION----unless one of the girls Eve gave birth to moved to Nod and Cain married his sister or even niece(for example, one of Seths daughters) there had to be other people living at this time. I mean, God specifically says Let us make mankind in our image and specifically refers to mankind as them. Does this them mean 2 people or more than 2 people? God also refers to this them specifically as male and female.....not man and woman, but male and female. the words Male and female are gender types. if God was talking about Adam and Eve here, wouldnt HE have said man and woman? and the blessing that God gives after that sounds like HE is talking to a group of people instead of just two people-------God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. If God created Adam for the specific purpose of taking care of the Garden of Eden, then how can Adam fill the earth and subdue it without leaving the Garden of Eden? Now, before i get loads of hate comments, i just want everybody to know that i am not trying to say the Bible is wrong...i just have some questions and thoughts.
