INTERGALACTIC SPACE RANGERS Communities around the world are coming together to create a new 50’s style Science Fiction series. The series is being filmed in black and white and will be using the cinematography techniques of the period. This series will pay homage to classic Sci-Fi by bringing back the sights and sounds so many grew up with. Characters and set pieces from the 70’s on back will be included like Robby the Robot and the Jupiter one from lost in space. This series will open up opportunities for prop builders, costume designers, makeup effects artists from all over in creating spectacular sets and characters. An outpouring of interest from the Cosplay community is expected with the wide spectrum of characters that will be introduced in this series with everything from robots and aliens to Amazon warriors and undersea creatures. On board already with the special effects team are Dean Parks and Peter Montgomery experts with in the industry who have worked on projects like “Thor”, “Kung Fu Panda” and more. Peter Montgomery’s work with stop motion would make Ray Harryhausen proud with the fluid movements creating cinema magic. He’s been in the industry for over 25 years and has worked with the BBC and projects like the last “Sinbad” movie. This series is being written by a talent pool of writers from around the globe and will include short stories from many writers keeping the series fresh while bringing that feeling of nostalgia to the audience for young and old alike. The series although it will contain humor is being done with a serious approach and is being intelligently written to be competitive with today’s productions. Talent pools are being created in various communities called “Branches”. Each Branch will have the opportunity to be part of the episodes in the series making this a great way to bring people together in a community to be a part of this bold venture, to pay it forward to those who have paved the way for the great volume of Sci-Fi entertainment that we have today.
