INTERSTELLAR Director Christopher Nolan takes his first venture into outer space. He carves a tale of mankinds final plight to stay alive. NASAs last attempt to find a habitable world to continue on the species. Mathew McConaughey and Anne Hathaway star as astronauts whose mission is to find that habitable world. The movie is quite grounded when it comes to science fiction. The horrors of being flung into the void are evident. But even though this movie is trying to stay real, you do have to believe in some of the silly things Nolan throws into the movie. The biggest problem is that this movie has no heart and no emotion that resonates with audiences. Sure we have McConaughey and Hathaway shedding tears but the audience never feels it. The movie was supposed to have been made by Speilberg and you can see what he could have brought to the movie. His whole career has been about bringing heart to the impossible.
