IRAQ CRISIS: France delivered nearly 10 tons of essential humanitarian aid to Erbil, northern Iraq, on September 20, to help civilians displaced by the Islamic State occupation. As part of the military campaign against IS, France has been flying in humanitarian supplies since August, including blankets, tents and hygiene kits. An international coalition of states, which includes 10 Arab nations, have rallied behind US calls to join a coordinated military campaign to defeat IS.
