IS IT WRONG FOR HIS EXCELLENCY PROFFESOR ARTHUR PETER MUTHARIKA TO GET MARRIED? Just as every Malawian is entittled to right to marriage and further the Bible makes it clear that he who finds a wife finds a good thing.Absolutely there is nothing wrong with his Excellency Proffesor Arthur Peter Mutharika getting married to his long time fiance,Getrude Maseko-a first lady in waiting. As amatter of fact,our dear President is leading us by example that power has nothing to do with us abandoning our norms and values. His Excellency could have taken his fiance for a wife even without following proper procedures traditionally and at church level if it were some of us who are good at abusing power and taking things for granted. Mutharika has shown that he is not only a legal abiding person but also a God fearing man who does not want to take things for granted just for being the Most powerful personallity in the country. There has been a lot of critique and noise regarding Mutharikas wedding but one point that must be understood is this,there is nothing wrong with our President marrying and not in anyway can this affect the execution of government business. A government is not a ones man show rather a sytem and its surprising and confusing that people must condemn Mutharika that he is priotizing his marriage for the release of cabinet.What are PS and Directors in Ministries for?Technocrats are there to serve the nation in absence of the politicians.The President is empowered to choose a cabinet of choice and the law does not State for how long that has to be done. If President Mutharika had eloped the unofficial first lady in waiting.We are the same people that could be making noise that our President is a bad example for taking a wife without proper measures. And now that the President is just doing the right thing.Many people who thought they could mock our President and take solace for having a fiance as a first lady are surprised and confused. Does it mean that being a President one is automatically deprived from other things for the fear that people will say State resources are at stake?Not at all.Our President has relations and friends who can take care of costs to be incurred and still as the State President.He has priviledges and capacity to do these other things as he is entittled to do so. Our President is a model.He has not snatched someones lover for a wife.He has been humiliated and castigated for being not married and now that he is marrying,haters are surprised and confused.Hahahaha.
