ITEM OF THE DAY: Bruce Springsteens Theology was the subject of a course at New Jerseys Rutgers University. The instructor, Associate Professor Azzan Yadin-Israel, participated in a panel on Studying Springsteen at the 50 Years of Makin This Guitar Talk forum on Sept. 20. Yadin-Israel recommended that fans read Runaway Dream: Born to Run and Bruce Springsteens American Vision, by Louis P. Masur, a colleague at Rutgers. The book is available at Amazon and other bookstores. Masur was interviewed by Pete Chianca about the book. Heres a transcript.
