#IWillTrustInTheNameOfTheLord ...Proverbs 3:5-6 Its #BoxingDay and you sure had a lovely #Christmas with family and friends who have been a great blessing indeed. Youd let just one song to play on repeat all through the night as you slept, and you wake up to the same song, waft through your ears, and seep into your heart. Lying on your back, you try to pray and thank God for all His goodness and favour in your life. The words of this song fill your mouth; they become your prayer with your eyes shut. You aint asking God for a thing, you just wanted to say THANK YOU LORD for an amazing year. You raise your hands as if in a church thanksgiving service but youre all alone with no worship leader leading you on into Gods presence. No altars to focus. Your eyes are shut. Your eyes glisten with tears and as you try to control the flow, the tears pour out in a deluge. Maybe youre crying. Yes youre sobbing and trying hard to hold back. Theyre not tears of pain and anguish for sure. You dont know what they were and why they flowed, but you led them drop from your eyes and glide down your face. But youre a guy and guys aint sissies ones that cry you know; how embarrassing! But youre all alone in your room, trying to utter words of prayer yet tears of prayer take-over from rehearsed words that we normally use to articulate our prayers. But you remember when Michael Card said that Human tears are older than the rain and realize tears are also prayers on their own, just as tears of joy have their place in saying thank you. Yes there have times I thought I could do without bothering about God, but they have at best been lame attempts. I choose not bean agnostic, but Ill Trust in the Name of the Lord...even when it doesnt seem to make sense in a post-modern world. For I still have those moments when my heart yearns for God and the feeling of that sense of deep connection with God and the deep and perpetual longing that will not leave ...I will treasure! Thank you Fred Hammond for this heart-felt song that moves my heart, and many more thanks to the original writer of Proverbs 3:5-6: Trust in the LORD with all your heart And do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight.… https://youtube/watch?v=MyCdFDXxMNQ .......................
