Ian Beale and Denise Fox will find themselves at odds once again next week as Jake Stone proves to be a nightmare houseguest. Last night (March 14), viewers saw Ian agree to let Jake (Jamie Lomas) stay on his sofa after seeing that he had been left homeless following his marriage break-up. The Beales know that they are doing a good deed by taking Jake in, but they start to regret their generosity when he makes a mess of the living room and continues to drink heavily. Although Denise (Diane Parish) insists that Ian (Adam Woodyatt) should kick Jake out due to his wayward behaviour, the Walford businessman agrees to give him another chance as long as he changes his ways. With Scarletts closed for a while, Ian cannot give Jake his job back at the restaurant, but he still manages to help Jake out further by convincing Alfie Moon (Shane Richie) to take him on at the burger van. While Ian seems to be taking kindly approach, Denise cant help but feel suspicious over his unusual behaviour and senses that he may have an ulterior motive. EastEnders continues on Monday (March 17) at 8pm on BBC One.
