Ian Emory--this is one of the reasons I am totally against drug testing of anyone receiving public funding---they are not finding it results in any savings! Also, most of the programs require the person to pay for the testing and then get their money back if they pass--which can take several months. Folks dont have $30-50 per test to give to the state and then wait several months to get it back. If the state fully funded the program and required it of anyone receiving a check or benefits (this would include all clerks, supervisors, administrators, legislators and governor) to take a test, I might could agree. But this is one more attempt to divide the haves and the have nots---so that we dont pay attention to the big stuff they are doing.
