Id argue baseball is not even a sport. My longstanding declaration is irrefutable: If you can smoke a cigarette while youre doing it, and win, its not a sport. That makes baseball a recreation, like darts and bowling and skeet shooting and golf. You could totally smoke butts and win while doing those things -- as evidenced by people who have done that in the past. Imagine winning at soccer or football or swimming with a Marlboro in your mouth. It would be hard, it would be hard. Anyway, if you enjoy baseball, Im happy for you. I am. I do enjoy seeing baseball in person with peanuts and beer and friends, especially the local 51s games. Thats fun. But not on TV. George Carlin said it best, in my opinion.
