Id like to introduce my favorite song #285. It’s “Daydream Beliver” by The Monkees. The Monkees are an American pop/rock band, they were formed for their TV show “The Monkees” in 1966. Their debut single “Last Train to Clarksville” was released in 1966, topped on the Billboard Hot 100, Canadian Single Chart, and moreover reached #14 on the Australian Single, #23 on the UK Single Charts. Their first studio album “The Monkees” was released in 1966, topped on the Billboard Album 200, Canadian, and UK Charts. After that, they released a lot of their studio or compilation albums and their singles. Now, “Daydream Believer” was released in 1967, topped on the Billboard Hot 100, Canadian Single Chart, and moreover, peaked #2 on the Australian Single, Norwegian record, #4 on the German Single, #5 on the UK Single Charts. It is a signature song. By the way, this song was covered in Japanese by Kyoshiro Imawano. The Japanese version is used in Japan’s commercial song.
