Id like to propose a compromise. I know alot of teams may be getting excited at the idea of waiting till Parkwood has lost half their players before going ahead with finals, but over the last couple of weeks weve grown as a team and would like the opportunity to finish the season together before some of us depart Australia and the club is potentially forced to disband. So with the consent of the league organiser and co-oporation and participation of the rest of the league Id like to suggest that we go ahead with Finals as planned over the next few weeks, held at Warwick, weather permitting. After party at a bar for anyone willing. Hockeyfest can still be held on July 19th but instead of finals, hold it as an open exhibition day. Have a thrown back game between the two original teams from last season and maybe take the best players from the league for an exhibition all stars match for some intense live hockey action. Any thoughts or alternate suggestions welcome. Parkwood arent trying to be selfish here, were just a good group of friends whod like to see this through to the end with each other as it will be the last opportunity we have to all play together.
