Id like to thank Dr. Pat Campbell [Calgary Center for Spiritual Living] for reminding me what is really important around Remembrance Day for me - how precious and sacred FREEDOM is...and a further reminder that we live in a World where most often, FREEDOM is not free; moreover FREEDOM comes with obligations, responsibilities and stewardship. Being of African-Canadian decent, I am also mindful of my Foremothers and Fathers who endured unimaginable mental, spiritual and physical suffering and horrific death, including fighting and dying in Racist Armed Forces; largely driven by the hope that one day that they might, or at least their children might, have real social justice, prosperity and freedom to express, develop and share their God/Divinely sourced gifts with their Families, Community and the World.
