Id love to go see this. I just finished reading a book about the history of the very island I work on every weekend (Bald Head Island), and written accounts from the civil war forts across the Cape Fear River stated that dense flocks of passenger pigeons over a mile in length would fly from their roosting sites on the island and pass over the forts. This is even dwarfed by the accounts from Ontario around the same time which recorded flocks 1 mile wide and 300 miles in length. Its mind blowing to think that the most abundant and prolific species in North America was literally hunted to extinction within the lifetime of a human being.
