Identity Theft - Take 2 I wanted to write Déjà vu but since - TopicsExpress

Identity Theft - Take 2 I wanted to write Déjà vu but since this is a reality, thats not the case. Two months ago, I noticed activity on my debit card that I didnt initiate. Oddly enough, it was for Norton virus protection which I had purchased a few years back. Of course, I thought Norton re-started my subscription, but they hadnt. My debit card had been compromised. Remember the afternoon I spent at the Apple store at Somerset Mall last week to have the geniuses get my iPhone out of recovery mode? A few days later, a $1 charge to Apple iTunes appeared on my online statement. The charge went through at 7pm; I left the store at 6pm. I hadnt purchased anything and there was no charge for the assistance I received. I never took my debit card out of my purse... I never shared my debit card number... And yet, somehow, my account was accessed. Going on the assumption that someone had one of those card-reader devices and they electronically stole my information, Ive put my cards in one of those protective cases. Time will tell...
