Identity crisis conclusions after giving my testimony tonight and reflecting on all the DEIS/FEIS/SEIS. My pockets are dirty. I fight the buildup but Ive cashed paychecks cut with buildup funds since I was 16 and already going to UOG. I wouldnt be educated or fighting the buildup in the first place if it werent for the fact I used to be a staffer at these damned DOD/NAVFAC contracted forums and hearings about the buildup with a name tag and information to disperse to the community. I worked the three Guam Industry Forums since 2007 and learning firsthand everything involving the buildup then is what led me to want to fight and speak up. Its what I chose to do with that information and money that matters. I fight for my island by supporting the buildup of local artists, academics, apparel, & agriculture not betraying our land through militarization or colonization. Three minutes at the hearings wasnt enough to talk about everything and I needed to talk about this. If only all our politicans could be so transparent.
