If I could reach around the world, and hold every life in peril safe from harm, I would not hesitate to see who I might embrace, but gather them up without a second thought. Let me remember that image in my daily life. Let me speak well of people of every place, every faith, every culture and condition. Let me make no distinctions in my kindness, but extend respect to all. For by so doing I may be that lifeline of blessing to someone I do not know, to someone as in need of compassion as I am.
