If I was gonna say I would really advanced at any one thing compared to my other skills, I would say it would be Lindy hop. No I dont do advanced stylings, and I never learned aerials, and I still dont know the big apple, or the dean Collins shim sham...but, Im a really good follow, and compared to NOT other dancers, but only to myself and all my other skills and talents I would say Lindy hop, balboa, balswing and blues and such are my best set of skills I have to offer...well, last night I broadened my horizons and went to the Verdi Club in SF and met some really really wonderful dancers who were very kind and encouraging. - an experience that I havent had in NorCal until now since LA. I danced With an older WCS dancer whos children compete, and who has a grandson who also dances who said this to me if you find arrogant dancers, remember that that means they know SOME things but have major insecurities and are stupid. This advice I wish I heard sooner, I would have definitely not stopped dancing had I known to tell myself that. :) its great advice and I plan on sharing it, and it works across the board for MANY places and situations.
