If I wasnt Muslim and I was to assess Islam based on the number of sisters that come to me complaining about their treatment, I would never dream of being a Muslim. Praise be to Allah that is not the case. Instead Im presented with the challenge of speaking out against this treatment in the hope that like minded people will join me to provide mechanisms in our communities that once again revive the Sunnahs that were seen to liberate women in the first place. Predator Watch, Amirah Foundation, Nour - Domestic Violence to name but a few continue to pick up the pieces with little support. While our brothers stand boldly calling against the violence on our OUR sister outside of of the UK. What about your sisters that are your neighbours, and that mothers of the children that your children will be raised with. I ask Allah to aid me on what seems to be a mighty fight on my hands just to be heard! In sha Allah
