If I’ve ever heard one of Bill Maher’s “New Rules,” that warrants preservation in a time capsule, this has got to be it. He does a masterful job of debunking the notion that Ronald Reagan wouldn’t make it in today’s Flea Bag-infested Republican Party and appropriately chastises those Democrats, especially the one in the White House, who deify the president whose administration oversaw the beginnings of every regressive, negative, malignant policy that has turned us into a country in which people listen to the likes of Ted Cruz, Steve King, Michele Bachmann, Louie Gohmert, Sarah Palin, and Donald Trump and substantially ignore Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, Keith Ellison, and the Congressional Progressive Caucus.. Or, as Maher succinctly summarized the situation, “Both sides really should stop pretending [Reagan] was something other the man most responsible for our decline.”
