If a hard ass ever corners me or threatens to beat me up for my opinions, I dont care if I lose: Im standing my ground. Im not a tough guy at all, but Im sick to death of bullies and stupid mindsets. Youre allowed an opinion, whoever or wherever you are. Youre allowed to question anything and everything. Its our responsibility as people to question everything constantly if we care at all about improving the world. Im not saying theres no such thing as being disrespectful, though. There is, and you should only offend when its the only way forward and when those taking offense are being unfair or irrational. You cannot let them build a wall around certain conversations. Thats dangerous and unreasonable and offending is often the only way toward progress. Still, you shouldnt be a belligerent jerk, either. Its a hard line to walk, sometimes. Speak up for whats right even if it means getting your ass kicked or thrown out of certain social circles. Think with your mind, though, and not just blind emotion. Choose your battles. Im not scared of flat top haircuts or tribal tattoos beating me up (though Im not saying it sounds fun). Im scared of being completely blind to or apathetic to other peoples hardships or to the world thats right in front of my face because its considered more popular to pretend they arent there.
